DECKS

If Your Deck is Structurally-Sound, We Can Refurbish It. You Can Save Thousands.

Overview

As part of your free estimate, Beach Buddy will evaluate the condition of your deck's structural lumber. If it's in decent shape, we can refurbish it. You can opt to replace existing deck boards, steps, balusters and rail caps with new lumber or wood-alternative composite decking and railing (e.g. Trex and PVC).

Alternatively, to save even more money, we can re-use the existing deck boards and railing and apply a solid stain or resurfacing agent. In both cases, the cost involved is significantly less than new construction, yet the final product will protect your deck from the elements and look brand new.

Then again, if your deck has structural issues that must be addressed, don't worry. Whether you've got rotten joists or a decaying ledger, we can fix it.

Staining / Resurfacing

For this project, after pressure washing all surfaces to remove dirt, mold, mildew and contaminants, we reduced the overall cost of the project by applying a resurfacing agent only to all deck boards and stair treads while applying less expensive (yet high-quality) solid stain to the railing systems and trellis.

Deck Board Recycling

For this project, the owner had composite deck boards that were previously installed on a deck in another state.  By our estimates, there appeared to be enough product to cover her entire patio area and potentially build a single step between it and the back yard.  Despite working with boards that were of varying lengths and filled with holes, the end product turned out great... and we literally re-used every single board available.

Pool Area Deck Board Replacement

For this project, the owner wanted a straight wooden-deck board replacement only for this large (~1,200 sq. foot) pool deck.  He also opted for stainless steel fasteners as his property is relatively close to the ocean.

Low-Profile Deck Picture Frame Design

For this project, the owner wanted to upgrade from wood to composite boards and white PVC risers.  We added a picture frame layout to accentuate visual interest, define the deck edges and call attention to the steps.
